Peggy Brown, Roger Gehrke and yours truly on CHITAG Cookie Baking Day 10 years ago! We've had many fun bakers over the years: Joan Severance (actress and game inventor), Nadine & Mike Sehnert, Sheila Kahn and more that we loved baking with!
Happy Thankful Friday!
I’m deeply appreciative and thankful for all of you tBR readers, everyone part of our POP Week events and POP platform, and all of you that I have the honor of connecting with in all the ways possible these days!
When we started our Chicago Toy & Game Fair 23 years ago, I baked my signature Three Chocolate Chip Cranberry Cookies for our exhibitors and staff. As we grew, friends/colleagues would join me for CHITAG Cookie Baking Day and we made thousands of cookies each year. Sadly, the pandemic cut CHITAG Cookie Baking Day. Since people still reminisce about those days and still ask if we have the cookies when they arrive on set-up day, I’m sharing my recipe with you. The recipe makes a lot of delicious cookies. Enjoy!

Industry News: After 35 Years the National Parenting Center has Issued its Final Report
The National Parenting Center was launched in 1989, with the intention of providing parents with invaluable child-rearing support and advice from top parenting experts. The initial ill-fated foray into the nascent 900-line business required a quick pivot to the internet’s earliest days and a partnership with Prodigy, the world’s first content service. From there, the agency moved to America Online and then to the web, all part of trying to stay ahead of the curve, shrewdly navigated by its founder and president, David Katzner.
