What are you working on now?

Getting ready for our annual show Marketplace & Academy in Pittsburgh, PA June 9 – 12. The best show of the specialty toy industry. It is four days jam-packed with networking, education, and shopping, crafted specifically for the specialty toy industry. What could be better? (Oops - shameless plug!)

Where were you born?

St. Louis, Mo. I grew up in a suburb called University City.

What is your favorite gadget, app or piece of software that helps you every day?

Trello. An online project management tool for managing everything from a Saturday night dinner party for four to a large, multi-event conference like Marketplace & Academy J. Trello breaks everything done into cards and lists. Lists like “To Do”, “Doing”, “Done!” For example, Your To Do list might include a card that says “Visit http://marketplaceandacademy.org/home website to site up for the full conference so I don’t miss out on the Welcome Reception at PNC Park!”

Are you named after anyone?

Hollywood actress Kim Novak.

I think I am such an Alfred Hitchcock movie fan because of the movie Vertigo with Kim Novak and James Stewart.

Favorite movie of all time?

Planes, Trains & Automobiles. A 1987 comedy starring Steve Martin and John Candy. What happens when you put the odd couple on a road trip to Chicago? You get great comedy and a lesson in friendship.

What’s your beverage of choice?

Coffee, Java, Latte, Expresso oh and um coffee!

Aww, do I gotta grow up? Life is so much more fun when you remember the child that lives within. J
