Get involved in initiatives like this by coordinating a product donation. The Toy Foundation works with manufacturers, retailers, and distributors year-round to pick up donations of all sizes and distribute them to children and families in need. US Supreme Court to hear TikTok challenge to potential ban. The US Supreme Court has agreed to hear last-ditch legal arguments from TikTok as to why it should not be banned or sold in the US. The US government is taking action against the app because of what it says are its links to the Chinese state - links which TikTok and its parent company ByteDance have denied.

Character publishes year end results. The Character Group plc today announced its results for the year ended 31st August 2024. These accounts revealed that the Group had, despite relatively flat turnover of £123.4m (v £122.6m in 2023), turned in a creditable profit before tax and other items of £6.6m (v. £5.2m in 2023), in line with management and city expectations.
GameStop has announced plans to shut down stores across the U.K. after closing 300 locations just last year. The popular gaming retailer says net sales have fallen 20 percent, now sitting at $860 million - a drastic change from its $1.08 billion in 2023.

Pacific Drive is on the road towards a TV adaptation. Ironwood Studios' Pacific Drive has a new destination: television. Per Variety, the car-heavy survival title is being adapted for the small screen by horror director James Wan's production company, Atomic Monster. Thacker, who is being remembered as someone who brought "joy to countless children" as the founder of Tiny Tim's Foundation for Kids, died peacefully of natural causes while surrounded by family on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at his home in West Jordan, according to an obituary.
Those who knew Thacker spoke with local NBC affiliate KSL-TV about his impact, with one friend at the Tiny Tim Foundation describing him as "probably the greatest man I ever met aside from my father-in-law."
Mike Gull. The larger than life media figure, who passed away recently, was known and loved by many people in the toy community, largely through his time at GMTV. Posting on LinkedIn at the end of last week, Mike’s long term friend and colleague Simon Poole recounted the sad news: “It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our chairman, colleague, and dear friend, Mike Gull, on Friday evening, 15th November. Mike (Gully) was an extraordinary individual who dedicated over 40 years to the industry. His leadership, wisdom and unwavering commitment left an indelible mark on our business and all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
